The Wind Tunnel
Sarah wanted a tropical-feeling garden in maritime conditions.
The Brief
Sarah has a love of tropical planting and gave a very firm brief of a jungle front garden that she would almost have to fend her way through to get to the front door. She also lived in an epic wind tunnel straight off the sea.
The Result
Tropical planting isn’t generally fond of gale force salt winds, but I managed to find salt-tolerant, textural leaves that all blended together.
Due to the exposed site, it was best to start with juvenile planting that would take longer to establish but would adapt to the conditions.
